Here is a quick overview before I go on media/internet hiatus for awhile to take the lovely wife out. Out second wedding Anniversary is today and the long winding, long winded process of tallying the vote does not need every moment of my attention. If you want a really great stream of consciousness approach then the Election 2008 page on Twitter is genius. Twitter has become quite the force in this election, another example of its reach is the Twitter VoteReport. Among other historic aspects of this election the significance and impact of social media is the one that stikes closest to home for me. Having road tested Twitter as an actual tool during the Hurricane Gustav evacuations I am really looking forward to seeing how this shapes up.
NPR continues to provide excellent coverage and he best radio leveraging of New Media on their Election 2008 page. As a pro radioblogger I am a huge fan of what they are doing with the evolution of broadcast radio in a Web2.0 envronment. You can also follow Andy Carvin on Twitter while they cover the next several hours as the election closes.
